Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – kitaslime.com
Welcome to our slimy corner of the internet! We’re thrilled you’re here and understand you might have some questions about our gooey, glittery, and wonderfully satisfying products. Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions we receive. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team!
1. What are your slimes made from?
Our slimes are crafted with safety and quality as our top priorities. The primary base is a non-toxic white glue, combined with safe activators (typically containing borax or a borax alternative), pure water, and premium-grade additives. We use skin-safe cosmetic-grade pigments, glitters, dyes, and fragrances. Every ingredient is selected to ensure a fantastic, tactile experience while being safe for hands-on play. However, our slimes are NOT edible and should be kept away from mouths and eyes.
2. Are your slimes safe for children?
Yes, our slimes are non-toxic and generally safe for children ages 3 and up. However, we strongly recommend adult supervision for children under 8 years old. Some slimes may contain small decorative inerts (like foam beads or charms) which could pose a choking hazard for very young children. Always check the product description for specific content warnings. We advise washing hands before and after play, and avoiding contact with hair, fabrics, and porous surfaces.
3. How do I care for and store my slime?
Proper care will extend the life of your slime! Always store your slime in its original airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold. Over time, slime may become stickier or stiffer. To revive it:
- If sticky: Add a tiny drop (and we mean tiny) of water or a pinch of baking soda, then knead thoroughly.
- If hard: Add a drop of warm water or a bit of hand lotion and knead.
Always seal the container tightly after play to prevent drying.
4. Why does my slime look or feel different than in the video?
Our slimes are handmade in small batches, so slight variations in color or texture can occur—this is part of their charm! Factors like temperature during transit (slimes can melt or stiffen slightly) and the activation process can affect the initial feel. We ship most slimes in a slightly under-activated state to ensure they arrive fresh and allow you to achieve the perfect texture with a few minutes of kneading upon arrival. The “feel” often develops fully after 24-48 hours of acclimating to your environment.
5. How long does shipping take, and where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States from our studio in [Your State, if applicable, or omit]. Processing time is 1-3 business days. Domestic shipping typically takes 3-7 business days via USPS or UPS, depending on your location and selected service. We are working to expand our shipping destinations. Please check our dedicated “Shipping Policy” page for the most current rates, timelines, and international availability.
6. What is your return, refund, or exchange policy?
Due to the handmade and perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges once a slime has been opened. However, your satisfaction is crucial to us. If your order arrives damaged, defective (e.g., improperly activated), or is incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos/video of the issue and your order number. We will work with you to provide a replacement, store credit, or refund as appropriate. Please see our full “Refund Policy” page for details.
7. My slime arrived leaky or damaged. What should I do?
We take great care in packaging, but carriers can be rough. If you experience a leak or damage:
- Keep all packaging materials.
- Take clear photos of the shipping box, the sealed container, and the slime.
- Contact us immediately at [Your Support Email] with your order number and the photos.
We will resolve this for you promptly.
8. Why is there liquid in my slime container?
A small amount of clear liquid (called “slime activator” or “slime sweat”) is normal and can occur due to temperature changes. This is not a defect. Simply pour out the excess liquid and knead your slime thoroughly. The liquid helps maintain moisture and can be used to adjust texture if needed.
9. Do you offer custom orders, wholesale, or collaborations?
Yes, we do! We love creating special slimes for events, partnerships, and retailers. Please contact us via the “Wholesale/Collaborations” inquiry form on our website for custom order requests and wholesale pricing. We review all requests and will respond within 3-5 business days.
10. How can I stay updated on new releases and restocks?

- Enable notifications from our shop app (if available).
